At Aloha Joinery, we always have our leading tradesman to do a final check measure of your space to ensure everything fits perfectly. We provide floor and elevation plans with measurements and specifications to ensure you know exactly how your new kitchen will be fitted and is signed off before production starts.
Installing your kitchen cabinets generally takes 1-2 days but can take up to 3-4 days for a very large, intricate kitchen. Laminate benchtops will be installed by the cabinetmaker who installs your kitchen. Stone and other solid bench tops will be installed by one of our trusted suppliers on another day. However, due to excess workloads during busy seasons, sometimes this can take up to 10 working days.
Generally, no. The electrician and plumber will usually return to connect all appliances the day after your stone benchtop has been installed. You can stack items into cabinets that are below stone benchtops, but for cabinets with stone benchtops above them, it is wise to wait until your stone is installed before placing items into the cabinets.
You will need to supply all your appliance specifications and sinks on final check measure, and we recommend you organise to have all your appliances on site one week prior to your kitchen being installed. It is important that you check all your appliances when they arrive, to ensure they are what you ordered. Pay particular attention to the colour, and make sure the sink has the drainer on the correct side. This saves a lot of problems later on, discovering that appliances are not correct when tradies are attempting to install them. If you are purchasing a new fridge please check the dimensions and particularly the depth of the fridge.
Floating timber floors and tiles need to be laid after your kitchen is installed, as they can’t be laid under the cabinets. After your floors have been laid, you can either use timber beading to conceal the gap between the floor and the cabinets, or we can come back and install kickboards after your flooring has been laid.
This is completely up to you. We can arrange for your renovation to be completely project managed, or alternatively, if you prefer to use your own tradies you can do so.
Yes, we can have your existing kitchen cabinetry removed, which occurs the day before installation for a fee that includes rubbish removal.
All appliances have to be connected and fitted-off by a licenced tradesman. When we install your cabinetry we fit the appliance into the designated cabinet and then a plumber or electrician will complete the rest. If you are unsure as to what tradesman does what appliance please ask.
